IOS International Organization for Succulent Plant Study

The International Organization for Succulent Plant Study (IOS) was established in 1950 at the Städtische Sukkulenten-Sammlung, Zürich, Switzerland, with the aim “to promote the study and conservation of succulent and allied plants and to encourage international co-operation amongst those interested in them”. Over the past few years the IOS has been actively pursuing this aim with a view to uniting scientists and interested amateurs working with succulent plants by improving communication and facilitating co-operation amongst individuals interested in research and conservation aspects of succulent plants, broadly defined.
